Risks
What can go wrong.
001 / Unaudited contracts
No independent firm has reviewed the code. A bug could lock or lose every token and every unclaimed fee in a contract.
002 / Experimental software
The mechanism is new. Behaviour in unusual conditions (very small supply, very large trades, many holders) may differ from what the docs describe.
003 / You can lose everything
Tokens on a bonding curve can be sold back for less than you paid, and a token may never trade again.
004 / Fees depend on trading
Holders accrue only when people trade. If nobody trades, nothing accrues.
005 / Testnet only
Test ETH has no value, and the test network can be reset, paused or changed by its operators at any time.
006 / Impersonation
Anyone can launch a token with any name. Mitra filters obvious impersonation and can hide reported tokens from its own pages, but it cannot remove a contract from the chain.
007 / A fresh curve moves fast
Each curve starts from a small virtual reserve, so early trades move the price a lot: on a new token a single buy of 0.5 ETH more than doubles the price, and pays on average about 50% above the starting price. The trade panel shows the impact and asks you to confirm anything above 5%.
008 / Rules and laws where you live
Tokens whose trading fees go to holders may be regulated, restricted or taxed in your country. Mitra does not check this for you. Access is blocked from some regions; using a VPN to get around that is not allowed.
009 / Front-running and price impact
Other transactions can land before yours. Large trades move the curve; set a slippage limit you accept.
010 / Wallet and key loss
Mitra never holds your keys. If you lose them, nobody can recover your tokens or fees.
011 / Website availability
This website is one way to reach the contracts. If it is down, the contracts still work, but you need other tools to use them.
